Thank you for taking the time out of your day and checking out my adventure blog! My name is Phillip and my goal is to see as much of this beautiful world as possible. Five years ago I caught a case of the travel bug and I still haven’t gotten over it yet. Most people think travel and doing it often, is only for the rich but I want to teach everyone that they too can easily plan a trip of a lifetime.

The way I look at it is life is like an intersection at a stoplight. Society tells you that you must click the “I want to cross” button and follow the crosswalk in a straight line across the street. In reality, life is nothing like this. Every individual is different and can have their own approach to life, and thus they jaywalk. For me, seeing the world and meeting new people is my form of jaywalking. Jaywalktheworld can have many different meanings for different individuals and I like it this way.

Before I dive more into what I will be posting and blogging about on this website, let me tell you a little bit more about myself.

About Me

I am currently living and am from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Travel for me started five years ago and since then, I have been to 21 different countries and 15 states. I have always been fascinated by different cultures and how others live their day to day lives. During this time, I also graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors in Health Science. I am extremely into and dedicated to fitness as well as nutrition. I have grown an interest over the years in storytelling and photography, so my goal is to continue to improve on these every day. Hiking has been a big passion, as well as seeing how far I can push myself in this aspect. Be on the lookout for ambitious hikes in remote places.

2020 hasn’t been the best year for everyone, especially people who love to travel. For right now, until more countries start opening up, I will be doing hikes and different adventures in Virginia/USA. I will be posting how-to guides on different hikes, an overall adventure log, and tips/tricks.

The Adventure Log

The overall goal of the work I put out will be to teach everyone how to travel on a budget and to show some amazing places in the process. My plan is to start traveling abroad in 2021, showing you the different deals that are out there and what the new way to travel looks like in this covid-19 world.
